This a new attempt to provide Lake Gaston fishermen (and fisher-women) a venue to exchange information. We hope you will take advantage of this resource.

Thanks. As the water warms up and fishing picks up a bit, I hope more folks will use this board. Please let others know it exists.

I hope they will too. I will tell all I know. I am hoping to learn how to striper fish on Gaston. Last time I went I headed left from Americamps. The wind was ferocious. Tomorrow going to try heading right towards the Kerr Dam. Will post how I do.

New on this board... . Seems to be better than another site that faded out due to excessive extraneous activities. I posted several notes about Walleyes on that site as "Rangerunne".
We fished Pea hill Creek this holiday weekend (Sunday). I knew traffic would be 'busy' but I hoped common sense on the water would prevail. Wife and I were amazed at how inconsiderate PWC operators and boaters would be and how needlessly close they passed to us when we were drift-fishing and slow trolling. Poor manners are bad enough, but in many cases, safety was clearly at issue.
We caught blue catfish on spinner/worm set-ups and small bass and white perch trolling plugs. This was our 1st time fishing this far east on Gaston; normally we fish west of Eaton's Ferry bridge.
