Hey everybody, New to the board. I've been out bass fishing the last few weekends, with not a lot of consistent success. About 4-7 fish per outing. Scattered everywhere. Can't seem to put a consistent pattern on them. Any advice would be appreciated. I plan on trying again on Sunday. Thanks in advance.

Good to see somebody posting something. Heading down in 3 weeks for a long needed vacation. Are you seeing bass up on their beds? What's the water temperature showing for the main lake and back up in the creeks. Looking forward to spending a week on Lake Gaston again....20 years we have been coming down. Richard over at Stonehouse Timber Lodge treats us great. I would have thought with the warm weather the spawn would have been triggered early this year. Keep posting and I'll keep in touch...good luck!!!

What's up RandyP, I was out last weekend and caught some good fish on shallow cranks and spinnerbaits on main lake points. I have not seen any beds, but some were definetly post spawn. You should hit it at a good time.

What part of the lake are you fishing? We tend to fish more from the Eaton's Ferry Bridge towards the dam. I'm thinking with the new moon and the water temps up we should hit it pretty good for the week we are down. Need a vacation and I can't think of a better place than Lake Gaston to relax and do some fishing. Sounds as if we should be heading back up into the creeks and the shallows looking for beds. I've been watching the main lake water temp and it seems to be holding around 62 degrees. I'm guessing the creeks are up close to 70. Get a chance to do anymore posting, please do it. Love to hear whats going on with the fish. Have a great day....and good luck!!
